Welcome to our club website! Gold Rush Guides is a Sacramento-area puppy raising club dedicated to raising puppies for Guide Dogs for the Blind, Inc.

Our members range in age and experience but we all share a common goal: To nurture a puppy into one day becoming the eyes of a blind/visually impaired individual.

  • Gold Rush Guides welcomed two new puppies recently--female yellow lab "Fritter" and female golden retriever "Perlita"
  • Gazette graduated from the San Rafael campus as a guide dog on July 26, 2008
  • Arlene, Barossa, Brisco and Greeley joined fellow Gold Rush Guides puppies Chris, Samantha, Retha, and Rosita for formal training the weekend of July 12-13
  • Chevone is currently in phase one of her training to be a diabetic detection dog for Dogs4Diabetics
